How we quote: you measure, we guide you

We don't drive out just to take measurements. Instead, we walk you through it, step by step. You send a few numbers and photos, and we send back a written quote. It is quicker for you, and it keeps our crew working on projects instead of driving between them.

Why we work this way

A measuring trip can take half a day of a crew's time. Multiply that by every quote, and someone pays for it. We would rather put that time into the work and keep our prices fair. Most projects can be priced well from good measurements and clear photos.

  1. Tell us what you need

Call, text or send the form. A sentence or two is enough to start.

  2. We send you a simple guide

It shows exactly what to measure for your kind of project. Stuck on something? Call or text and we will talk you through it.

  3. You send numbers and photos

By text or email, whichever is easier. Rough numbers are fine to start. We will ask if we need more.

  4. We send a written quote

The price, what is included and the timeline, in writing. Take your time to decide.

  5. We confirm and schedule

Once you approve, the final sizes are confirmed as part of the job, materials are ordered and your date is booked.

What to measure for your project

Grab a tape measure and your phone. Most people finish in 10 to 15 minutes.

Window or door glass

  • Width and height of the glass you can see, in inches
  • Whether it is a window, a sliding door or a French door
  • The brand, if you can find it (often etched in a corner of the glass)
  • A photo of the whole window from inside, and one close-up of a corner

Carolina Glass Replacement

Deck repair or a new deck

  • Length and width of the deck, in feet
  • How high the deck sits off the ground, and how many stairs
  • Wood or composite, if you know
  • Photos from each side, from underneath, and of any soft or damaged spots

Carolina Deck Repair

Glass railing or pool fence

  • Length of each straight run that needs railing, in feet and inches
  • How high the deck or floor is off the ground
  • What it mounts to: wood deck, concrete, tile or stone
  • Photos of each run, and of the stairs if they need railing too

Measure twice. If the two numbers differ, send both.

Show the tape. A photo with the tape measure in it answers a lot of questions.

Not sure? Ask. A quick call is better than a guess.

Questions about quoting

Is the quote free?

Yes. Sending us measurements and photos and getting a written quote costs nothing.

Why don't you come out to measure before quoting?

Every trip to measure is half a day a crew is not working on a job. Guiding you to measure lets us quote faster and keep that cost out of your price. Most projects can be priced well from good measurements and photos.

What if I measure wrong?

That is normal, and it is why we ask for photos too. We check your numbers against the photos and ask if something looks off. Before custom glass or materials are ordered, the final sizes are confirmed as part of the job.

Will anyone ever come out before the quote?

Some projects truly need a visit to price, like hidden rot under a deck or an unusual stair. If yours does, we will tell you up front what the visit involves, before anyone drives out.

How fast will I get a quote?

We aim to send it within two business days of getting your measurements and photos. Simple glass jobs are often faster.
